Turicum Gin takes its name from Turicum, Zurich’s ancient name in Roman times.

Distilled in the heart of Zurich, Turicum Gin is crafted in small batches. The London dry label guarantees our unique flavor which is obtained through the re-distillation in traditional stills in the presence of all natural ingredients – the botanicals – and water, with no additional sweetening.

How it all began

It all started in June 2013, when Merlin Kofler and Oliver Honegger (our executive directors) visited English gin distilleries. Inspired by the craftsmanship, they decided to produce their own gin. With the help of their friends, Philip Angst and Oscar Martin, it took the team no longer than two years to make their dream come true.

Our goal was to create a gin that represents Zurich’s spirit and that caters to the locals’ taste. What started as an adventure of friends has become a popular spirit – far beyond the Zurich city limits.

Today, Turicum Gin is available in selected liquor stores and bars in Switzerland and Germany. We are continually expanding – please come back or subscribe to our newsletter for updates.

A crystal-clear gin with aromatic and exotic notes. Flavors of lavender, pepper, passion fruit and apricot create a pleasant and warm experience. Smoothness is added through a slightly oxidative note of ripe Williams pears. The palate initially experiences a light sweetness, followed by a titillating chili pungency, which gently caresses the tongue. The lasting final note is reminiscent of licorice, cinnamon and white pepper.”
